In this team project I came in as a consultant to assist in the Producer/Project Development of the project. The project reflects a 20 week project with team members meeting once a week for classroom instruction and team process.

IADT – Team Project “Hellspawn”


This entry is a compilation of information concerning the IADT – Team Project – Hellspawn.


This project is the first introduction to Team Based Game Production for senior students at IADT – Seattle. It is designed to teach team building skills in the development of a Video Game from concept to production. The project scope is 20 weeks in length over two terms during a students Senior Year.

Here is a screen shot of the Trello.com management tool we utilized for production.



We started with a standard forum but found that the format didn’t visually appeal to the artists and while some were able to maintain their posts and regularly update, others were less likely to review the forum. With this format it allowed for quicker updates and everyone was able to focus on the individual cards providing fluid development of assets and design.

Link to original forum used from concept to the completion of asset development. Utilization of a forum for communication between team member was new to many of the students and this iteration was abandoned and replaced with the Trello.com management tool.
